200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

For the Cocktail (yields 850ml, enough for 10)

200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish

For the Citrus Syrup: Place all the items into a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, mixing to dissolve. After that, remove from the heat allowing it to cool completely. Decant into an sterilised bottle, close it and store in the fridge, where it will keep for around one month.

For the Cocktail Base: Pour the specified spirits and syrup into a large bottle, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain , ideally through muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.

For serving: Add 85ml of your cocktail base into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Strain to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
