I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
